Kaizer Chiefs had been targeting Zimbabwean international striker Walter Musona for the past two seasons, as reported by Soccer Laduma, but no deal materialised.
Now, the former Polokwane City striker, who currently plays for Zimbabwe league leaders Simba Bhora, is set for a potential return to the PSL.

Siya sources in both Zimbabwe and South Africa have indicated that two Betway Premiership teams have shown interest in Musona, who is the younger brother of former Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona. The source added that the two unnamed clubs have inquired about Musona, and a move could happen during the January transfer window when the Zimbabwe league will be in the off-season.
"There are two clubs in South Africa which are interested in him. At first we know, it was Kaizer Chiefs (who were interested) but now there are two different clubs and it's the chairman who is dealing with that. But we know that they are Premier (Soccer) League teams that are interested in him," the Siya source stated.
A second source added that while there is interest, a move is not possible at the moment due to the ongoing Zimbabwe league season and the closed transfer window in South Africa.
"If anything could happen it could only happen in the January transfer window and that favours his club Simba Bhora who are chasing the league title in Zimbabwe and he is their main striker. Yes, the interest is there but I think even the teams in South Africa are looking at the January transfer window. Not right now," the second source observed.

Soccer Laduma contacted Simba Bhora owner Simba Ndoro, who confirmed interest in the striker but did not name the teams.
"Yes, there has been interest not just now but even before but our main concentration is on continuing doing well until we win the league title. Then we can consider the interest after the end of the season. Then we can consider what to take or not," Ndoro told Soccer Laduma.
Musona's potential return to the PSL highlights the ongoing interest in the talented striker. While a move is not imminent due to the current league schedules and transfer window restrictions, the January transfer window presents an opportunity for interested clubs to secure his services. As Simba Bhora focuses on their title chase, Musona's future remains a topic of keen interest for both Zimbabwean and South African football fans.
