The Siya crew understands that the future of a striker at Mamelodi Sundowns is currently being considered, with the DStv Premiership champions working behind the scenes to finalise their squad for next season.
Andile Jali, Haashim Domingo and Surprise Ralani are just some of the high profile names that won't be at Sundowns next season and Thabiso Kutumela is another who is facing an uncertain period, with Sundowns expecting to welcome Junior Mendieta from Stellenbosch FC, as well as other players they are understood to be targeting at the moment.

While it's unclear at the moment, Kutumela could go out on loan or become a player Sundowns use in a deal to secure a target in the DStv Premiership. It's understood that the club is open to letting him get game time elsewhere and a final decision will be made on what happens next, as he just completed his second season with the club after joining from Maritzburg United in 2021.
Kutumela has not been able to command a regular spot in the team for different reasons and competition is not likely to get any easier, should he stay with the club next season.
Sundowns will be one of the busiest clubs during the transfer window period, with the futures of players who were loaned out also expected to be determined. Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Mkhize are expected to join the club during pre-season, while the likes of Sammy Seabi, Divine Lunga, Luvuyo Phewa, Thabang Sibanyoni and Jody February are expected to hear what the future holds for them in the coming weeks.
