AmaZulu FC have finished in the top eight this season and they are already looking at bolstering their squad for next season with both young blood and experienced players.
Insiders close to the club have indicated that one such experienced player the club is believed to be keeping for another year is their established goalkeeper.

The insiders added that Usuthu are believed to have agreed to extend the contract of former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori with another one-year deal, running until June 2026.
"You know that when he joined the club last year he signed a one-year contract which is expected to expire at the end of June this year. And that's why it's believed that the club is apparently going to keep him for another one year from July 2025 to June 2026. So, for now, the new deal is as good as done and Ofori will remain at Usuthu for at least another season," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second insider stated that the club is also looking at boosting their strikeforce and that it's their priority in the off-season.
"The main area that they have identified now is the striking force. The football department and the recruiters have already identified which strikers they are looking at and everything will be finalised before the start of the club's pre-season in July. So they want to be ready for the MTN8 tournament," the second insider told the Siya crew.
As for Ofori, he was released by Orlando Pirates at the end of the 2023/24 season and the 31-year-old then signed for Usuthu where he has since featured in many Betway Premiership games this season.

Soccer Laduma contacted AmaZulu FC for comment but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
This potential contract extension represents smart business from AmaZulu as they build on their successful season. Securing Ofori's services provides stability in a crucial position while the club focuses resources on strengthening their attacking options. The Ghanaian international's experience will prove valuable as Usuthu prepare for the MTN8 and aim to climb even higher in the league standings next season.
With a balanced approach of retaining key veterans while targeting attacking reinforcements, AmaZulu appear to be implementing a clear strategy to consolidate their position as one of the PSL's more competitive sides.
