The Next Step For Jali

The Next Step For Jali

Following his departure from Chippa United, Andile Jali looks set to make a big career decision.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates midfielder recently left the Chilli Boys, despite the club having an option to extend his deal for another campaign. He had signed a one-year deal with the club, but it was a difficult one with injury hampering his progress.

He spent most of his time on the sidelines, but remained a key figure in the dressing because of his leadership and experience in the game. In total, he made 13 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring two goals.

The Siya crew understands that the 35-year-old is seriously considering retirement to focus on his business interests outside football.

As things stand, the Siya crew understands there are no concrete offers on the table for the services of the midfielder and the next step in his life could be to call it a day. It's unclear, at this stage, if Jali would still play a role in football should he hang up his boots.
