A recently retired former Kaizer Chiefs star has begun his journey of life after football as one of the up-and-coming coaches.

Having spent the 2020/21 season with TS Galaxy, following a spell with Highlands Park in the previous campaign, Reneilwe 'Yeye' Letsholonyane called time on his glittering career at the end of last season.

As reported by the Siya crew, the 39-year-old has been doing his coaching badges with a view of adding to the number of former professional footballers who take up coaching as a career, after ending their playing days.

In edition 1235 of Soccer Laduma, Letsholonyane revealed that his aim would be part of the coaches who give back to the local game and to improve South African football.

Furthermore, the dreadlocked star confirmed that he has completed the SAFA/CAF C Licence, while he has been waiting for the B Licence.

Letsholonyane has also been doing the Scottish B licence, as reported by the Siya crew.

Looking forward, it has been confirmed to the Siya crew that the ex-SuperSport United player started his coaching journey at Soweto-based amateur football club, Pimville Young Stars, where he is also one of the shareholders.

"It is true, Yeye is coaching Pimville Young Stars. It is an amateur club which is popular in Soweto," confirmed the source.

"The guy is very passionate about football, and he still wants to go for more coaching badges to add to the ones that he has already acquired. He would love to see himself back in the PSL (topflight) one day, as a coach to give back to the game," the source added.
