Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit NB La Masia have put their status up for sale following the club's relegation to the ABC Motsepe League.
The Johannesburg-based club experienced a fairytale rise to the second-tier, having initially started out as a SAB League team.
The club managed to win the ABC Motsepe League national play-offs in 2022, which saw them become one of the Premier Soccer League's 32 professional teams.
But their stay in the Motsepe Foundation Championship would last just two seasons as they narrowly escaped relegation in the 2022/23 season. But they would not have the same luck the following campaign, as they joined Polokwane City Rovers as the two clubs that got relegated to the third tier.
There was hope that the club would be able to retain their status after lodging two cases with the PSL's Dispute Resolution Chamber in a last-gasp attempt, though both cases would be dismissed with their relegation officially confirmed.
Word reaching Soccer Laduma is that the club has subsequently put their ABC Motsepe status up for sale, bringing their fairytale run to a disappointing end.
