Erasmus Putting Out Feelers

Erasmus Putting Out Feelers

According to Siya sources in the know, Kermit Erasmus is understood to be putting out feelers in search of his next destination.

The Orlando Pirates forward appears to be frozen out at the club in the second half of the season and indications are that he could be leaving the Soweto giants when his contract ends on June 30.

Erasmus returned to the Buccaneers two years early last season on the back of having his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns terminated by mutual agreement, allowing him to join Pirates as a free agent on deadline day.

With his new club confirming a twoyear deal, the former SuperSport United striker celebrated his reunion by in fact making his second debut against Sundowns in the MTN8 under coach Jose Riveiro.

But things appear to have changed and the Siya crew has previously reported that Erasmus had potential discussions over a new contract halted.

It's clear now that Erasmus is on the lookout for a new home, having taken to social media to announce he has joined a new agency with the hope that they can help him find a club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Pirates have, however, not yet announced his departure and Soccer Laduma understands this is now likely the case and Erasmus could very well be on his way out soon after the Nedbank Cup final on June 1.
