In a significant development following a weekend of speculation and reported division, one of South Africa's biggest clubs has apparently reached a decision regarding their technical team leadership.
After previous reported divisions among decision-makers, sources close to Chiefs have indicated a resolution has been reached regarding the man who recently ended the club's decade-long trophy drought, head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Latest news coming out of Naturena is that the club has agreed that Nabi is not going anywhere no matter where the team finishes the season on the Betway Premiership log.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, there was significant uncertainty surrounding Nabi's position at Amakhosi. Just weeks ago, certain members of the club felt he should part ways with the club irrespective of his Nedbank Cup performance, while others believed he should remain regardless of results. Now, following Monday's meeting, insiders have added that the club is believed to have agreed for the Tunisian mentor to see his full contract through.
The sources stated that Chiefs feel it will be unfair to fire the coach looking at what he has brought to the club unless he himself decides to resign on his own accord.
"We really don't know where people get this. The meeting was only heard today, and it's believed that the coach is not going anywhere. Everyone now apparently agrees that changing the coach again will be like stop and go and then stop again. They are also believed to want to see the coach see off his contract as that will at least guarantee continuity. So, since he has at least one year remaining on his contract and then that one-year option. But the main decision will be at the end of next season, not this season. It's believed that the coach is not going anywhere," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile a second insider stated that unless the coach is not happy and wants to leave himself, then the club won't stand in his way.
"The team wants him to stay and see off his contract. But unless the coach himself is not happy and resigns then that's a different situation but not from the management firing him. So, that's how things are believed to be at the moment. So from where I stand, the coach will see his contract through," the second insider told the Siya crew.

Despite not having a good run in the Betway Premiership, coach Nabi has won the Nedbank Cup in his first season, ending 10 trophy-less years at Naturena.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for official comment on the matter but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
This decision marks a significant vote of confidence in Nabi's project at Chiefs, suggesting the club's leadership has prioritised stability and long-term planning over immediate league results. For Amakhosi supporters, this resolution provides clarity ahead of what promises to be a crucial transfer window, with the coach now empowered to build on his cup success and address the league inconsistencies that have plagued the team. After a decade of disappointment, the club appears committed to giving their trophy-winning coach the time needed to restore Chiefs to their former glory.
