News reaching the Siya crew is that when former Comoros and Mauritania national team head coach Amir Abdou signed with Hassania Agadir FC, he snubbed two PSL clubs that were also keen on his services.
Abdou returned to club football in Morocco’s top flight on a two-year deal he signed with the club.

The experienced tactician had been linked with a possible move to the PSL, with sources confirming that two Betway Premiership clubs had shown strong interest in acquiring his services.
One of those clubs was believed to be Marumo Gallants, who are currently in search of a new head coach following Abdeslam Ouaddou’s departure.
However, negotiations between Abdou and the unnamed Mzansi clubs broke down due to financial disagreements, paving the way for his move to the Botola Pro League.
“Yes, I can confirm that my client has signed a top job in Morocco with Hassania Agadir,” said Kenneth Yamongbe, Abdou’s representative.
“It’s a very ambitious team this season. He was approached by two PSL clubs, but we could not reach agreement on financial terms. He will now compete in the same league as Pablo Franco, the former AmaZulu head coach.”
Abdou is widely respected on the African continent for his impressive achievements with Comoros, whom he led to their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations appearance, and more recently for his tenure with Mauritania.

The 52-year-old was recently spotted in Mzansi, fuelling speculation of a PSL move, particularly after Gallants’ coaching vacancy opened up.
But with the Moroccan deal now sealed, Abdou is set for a fresh challenge in North Africa where he’ll join a league that continues to attract tacticians with experience in Southern African football.
