Chippa United gave Bienvenu Eva Nga a contract until the end of the season, but it's come to the Siya crew's attention that the club has an option to keep the player beyond the expiration of his contract.
The Cameroonian parted ways with Orlando Pirates during the recent January transfer window, and it did not take long for him to find a new home, with the Chilli Boys snapping him up for a second spell.
He is familiar with the surroundings at the Gqeberha-based outfit and, despite having struggled for game-time at the Jose Riveiro-led side, he is unlikely to take long to find his feet in the Eastern Cape.
After all, he had his best season with them back in 2020/21, when he scored 10 goals in all competitions, before attracting attention from Ezimnyama Ngenkani.
Speaking to this publication, the former Bidvest Wits striker confirmed that Chippa have an option to keep him for at least another year once his six-month deal comes to an end in June.
"It's a six-month (contract) and one-year option. I checked the project, and I thought let me go to Chippa for six months. The team is doing great," Nga revealed.
Nga, who turned 31 last Saturday, appears to be happy back in the Friendly City and this could put him in a good position to extend the deal at the end of the season, but all he will be focusing on right now is getting some minutes under the belt.
