Pienaar, 33, has played just 62 minutes of competitive football in 2015 after a year plagued by injuries, and it appears that there has been no indication as of yet as to whether he will be offered a new deal or not.
It seems that the former Bafana Bafana captain has a few options on the cards with regards to his next move, and given his comments of late, retirement is not something that he is considering at this present moment.
Everton may still offer the attacking midfielder a new contract at the club, but if they don't then he is unlikely to be short of options in Europe, should be wish to stay there. It could also be an option for Pienaar to return to the Absa Premiership for a while before hanging up his boots.
With the midfielder set to enter into his last six months with the Toffees next month, things should become clearer as to where his future may lie, and the Siya crew will keep an eye on matters.
