The 25-year-old was announced on Thursday evening as the club welcomed the former Bidvest Wits forward to their ranks. At his unveiling, Kodisang told the club that he felt at home in Portugal.

"It's good to be here and back in Portugal," Kodisang said. "In fact, it's as if I never left. I arrived at an excellent club, and now I'm going to try to give my best for AFS," the winger added.

He has previous playing experience in Portugal, having spent time with SC Braga B and Moreirense in the past three seasons.

The Bafana Bafana international showcased his talents with the latter club, scoring 14 goals and adding eight assists in 67 games, according to Transfermarkt. Kodisang was excited to take on the challenge with his new side, which narrowly avoided relegation last season.

"The championship is very competitive and not easy," the Gauteng native said. "We must always give our best, and we can't predict match results or the final standings. We must give our all and try to finish as high as possible in the table," he continued.

The forward revealed that he's a player who always gives his best and made a promise not to disappoint the fans.

"I'm someone who always tries to give my best, both in attack and defence," he said.

"I don't like to disappoint the fans. If they come to support and encourage us, we have to give our all for them. I can guarantee that; I'll give my all in every game," he continued.

"I hope that's enough to make the fans happy. I'm a good professional. The most important thing is to always give my best. If I do, I help the team. And if the team improves, we're all happy. In a team, there are no "I's," there's a collective that has to work," he concluded.
