Links has been an important member of the Aarhus squad since he signed for them from Cape Town City in 2019. The South African has featured in 173 games, scoring 13 goals and adding 18 assists.
In a club statement, The Whites announced that Links would stay with the club for another four years until 2029, bringing his time at Ceres Park to a decade.
The club's football director, Carsten Jensen, was full of praise for the ex-Pyramids star and highlighted his influence on the team.
"Gift is a profile in the Superliga and a very important player for AGF, but not least in recent years he has developed into a very central figure in the squad and in the club also off the field," Jensen said.
"And because of his human qualities, the city and the club have embraced him. I am very happy that we can extend the agreement with Gift until 2029," he concluded.
The North West-native revealed his excitement after signing his extension as he looked to win his first bit of silverware with the club.
