Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC have moved swiftly to include their R16 million signing, Fagrie Lakay in their CAF Confederations Cup squad.
The Egyptians managed to bag the 24-year-old from Cape Town City in a deal believed to be worth $1 million (±R16 million) last month, with the Bafana Bafana striker penning a two-and-a-half year deal in Egypt.
If early indications are anything to go by, Pyramids could see an instant return on investment.
In his first two matches for the third-placed Egyptian Premier League oufit, Lakay managed to bag three goals, scoring a brace against Sporting and one more against Eastern Company.
Now, the club has confirmed that Lakay has been included as part of the matchday squad, and is in line to make his official debut for the club against Al Ahli Tripoli on Sunday.
So far, Pyramids coach Ihab Galal has preferred to play Lakay in a wide right position, where he is set to compliment the side's star strikers Ramadan Sobhi and Mahmoud Wadi in a 4-3-3 formation.
Pyramids are drawn in group A of the competition along with Zanaco and CS Sfaxien.
