Bafana Bafana striker Bongokuhle Hlongwane has made a promise after completing a move to Major League Soccer in the USA from Maritzburg United.
The 21-year-old striker has was officially announced as a Minnesota United player after the Siya crew reported in December that the club was interested in the former Maritzburg United marksman.
Speaking exclusively with the Siya crew after signing a three-year deal, Hlongwane said a move abroad has always been his dream.
"What has happened now, it is something that I've always wanted, but didnt expect it to be this soon but luckily it has happened," - Hlongwane told the Siya crew.
"They've been following me. It makes me happy to see that my hard work has been noticed, not only in South Africa, but in other countries too."
The two-time PSL Young Player of the Season has vowed to work hard in the MLS and reward the club for believing in him.
"So, it gives me motivation to go there and work hard and show them why they signed me and even do more. I want to go there and fight. I'm going there to work hard," he added.
"I'm very happy in my life, this is a great opportunity for me and it can only avail itself if we work hard. It is a dream come true."
In other MLS news, former Bafana Bafana player Bradley Carnell has been appointed head coach at St Louis City FC in St Louis Missouri.
