The Siya crew understands that the start of the 2024/25 league season is likely to be delayed as the Premier Soccer League finalises a sponsorship for the Premiership.
As things stand, DStv are not expected to continue as the sponsors of the Premiership and, as reported in the media, Betway are frontrunners to take over the sponsorship. Indications are that Hollywoodbets have also shown interest in sponsoring the league.

The Siya crew has been informed that the new season was due to kick off on August 2, with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns kicking things off as usual on Friday evening.
But because of the sponsorship uncertainty at the moment, the new campaign looks set to kick off in the second or third week of August while the PSL head honchos finalise everything behind the scenes.
PSL clubs were told not to print the DStv Premiership logo on their jersey sleeves, as it will be making way for the logo of a new sponsor soon.

Usually by this time, the PSL fixtures are out and clubs are fully aware of their travelling schedules for August, but there is uncertainty at the moment, with clubs having to wait for the PSL to confirm who will be taking over as sponsors of the league for the next few years.
The PSL is hoping to wrap things up in the coming days and have an official launch to confirm the new sponsors of the Premiership.
