Following surprises from Kaizer Chiefs supporters on why they could not sign former TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic, Chairman Tim Sukazi has revealed why he left South Africa.
The football fraternity was surprised that The Rockets released Zajmovic at the end of the 2024/25 season, after he had impressed with 11 goals from 28 matches in all competitions.

Amakhosi were believed to be in the market for a reliable striker in the off-season, with their fans urging the Soweto giants to snap up the 30-year-old, who was a free agent.
Speaking to sister publication Kickoff.com, the Bosnian forward said he was "surprised" he was never contacted by Chiefs despite all the hype from their fans and also said he would have liked to play for one of the big three clubs in the PSL but it was a pity they did not approach him, before he finally settled for Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan.
Sukazi has revealed that Galaxy released Zajmovic from his contract due to his family unable to get visitors visas extended in the country.
"TS Galaxy also thrives on a spirit of humanity. Zajmovic had an issue, where his family could not be issued with visitors visas and he's a family man," Sukazi said on Metro FM Sports.
"He said 'Chairman, I can't stay without my family, if I don't have my family here, then I won't be able to perform'. We understood that. When he left, they had overstayed for a day or two, they had to be held up at the airport, that also traumatized him, so we understood that.
"Yes, he was under contract. We do these things (terminate by mutual consent), you won't understand. We also look at the human element, otherwise should we suppress their careers because we can?" Sukazi asked.

Chiefs appear to have exhausted their foreign quota following the signing of Etoisa Ighodaro (the signing of which was kept under wraps for much of the off-season), as they already have Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Makabi Lilepo and Flavio Silva on their books.
Only five foreign players can be registered with the PSL per club.
