Orlando Pirates in-form striker’s exceptional goalscoring instincts have elevated him to indispensable status for the Buccaneers, with Mabasa netting 34 goals over the past two campaigns.
Due to the forward’s scintillating form in front of goal, the striker has caught the eye of a host of teams across the continent.
Recent reports in Africa are claiming that Pablo Franco Martin's MAS Fez are the latest side to be keen on the 28-year-old's services.
The Siya crew reached out to football and rugby agent Gary Cassisa to investigate the facts behind the reported interest.
Cassisa, who is Mabasa’s representative, revealed to Soccer Laduma that there has been strong interest in his client from the Moroccan side but confirmed that the South African international is committed to the Soweto giants and has no desire to leave the club.
"Yes, there has been interest from Mas Fez, but Tshegofatso Mabasa remains committed to Orlando Pirates only. He is closing in on the club's all-time leading goalscorer record and would like to make history with the Soweto giants," Cassisa told the Siya crew.
Mabasa is yet to make an appearance for the Bucs this season under new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, but the Moroccan tactician has admitted the forward will play an important role this season.
