Orlando Pirates have had a lukewarm start to the season under new coach Jose Riveiro, who is tasked with reviving the fortunes of the Soweto giants. Soccer Laduma looks at the records of the coaches who have overseen the team since the 2012/13 campaign.
Out of the last eight Pirates coaches since 2012, only one has managed to win a trophy at the club, Josef Zinnbauer, who also has the highest win percentages of all the eight tacticians.

The German coach ended Pirates' six-year trophy draught when his side lifted the MTN8 Cup but shocked many when he resigned.
And since the glory days of Ruud Krol's reign, when Pirates won a domestic treble between 2008 and 2011, clinching all the trophies on offer, it has been a tale of woe for the Soweto giants faithful with Mamelodi Sundowns becoming a dominant force in the local game.
The likes of Micho Sredojevic, Eric Tinkler, and co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids came in and struggled to meet Pirates' mandate of winning silverware.
But can Spanish coach Riveiro lead the Buccaneers to the promised land and bring back the glory days in Soweto? It remains to be seen.
