The Spaniard intends to give each player an equal chance to produce their best and he sees one of his challenges to be the management of player competition in his squad.
Riveiro was talking to the media during the Open Day at Rand Stadium ahead of their CAF Champions League encounter against Djabal FC of the Comoros at Orlando Stadium on Friday.
"There is no favouritism here. We have 36 players and they are all fighting to play," Riveiro told the media.
"They cannot all play at the same time but we have to select the best for the sake of the team. I am not here to make players happy."
"We are here to make the team play and win. We will give everyone the chance to play if they have shown that they are ready to play.
"It's hard because they are all good players and they have to compete for places in the team. But as I have said I am not here to make players happy but to work with all of them.
"(Also) to get the best from each one of them and get results for the team at the end of the day," the coach concluded. READ: Odense To Suss Out Saleng's Pirates Value?
