Orlando Pirates will come up against English outfit Bolton Wanderers as part of their preparations for the upcoming season, the English League One side has confirmed.
Bolton, who are currently coached by Steven Schumacher, announced their pre-season plans on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, confirming that they will travel to Spain for a training camp starting Sunday, 6 July.

The trip will culminate in a friendly match against the Soweto giants.
“We can confirm that we will travel to Spain for a pre-season training camp, commencing on Sunday 6 July. The trip will conclude with a friendly fixture against South African giants, Orlando Pirates,” the club posted.
The game is scheduled for Friday, 11 July, with kick-off set for 11:00am local time at the Marbella Football Centre – a well-known venue that regularly hosts top international sides during pre-season.
For Pirates, the fixture will form part of their European pre-season tour as they gear up for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Buccaneers are also expected to announce a new head coach in the coming days following the departure of Jose Riveiro.
The clash with Bolton will provide the new technical team an early opportunity to assess the squad against European opposition.
