After signing striker Yanela Mbuthuma from Richards Bay, Orlando Pirates are looking at bringing in a striker from Pele Pele, the Siya crew understands.
An insider close to development teams with oversight of Pirates' pipeline has indicated that the Buccaneers are believed to be promoting a striker from the Gauteng ABC Motsepe league.

The insiders added that Bucs are set to bring in Sifiso Luthuli to the senior team, as he has already started training with them as they prepare for their trip to Spain for their pre-season training camp.
"He used to be in the reserve team before and was loaned to Pretoria Callies. Then he was playing for Pirates' feeder team Pele Pele and that's where the club is believed to be promoting him from. They believe he can add some competition in the striking department this season as he has gained experience now," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, an insider with knowledge of the first team's composition stated that Pirates are looking at releasing some of the strikers from their squad before the start of the next season.

"The releasing of the players is not over. They were also waiting for the coach to have a look at the squad then they look at which ones could still leave the team and there are other strikers who are still on the to go list before the start of the season," the second source revealed.
At the moment, Pirates have strikers who include newly signed Yanela Mbuthuma, as well as Evidence Makgopa, Zakhele Lepasa, Tshegofatso Mabasa, and Boitumelo Radiopane on their books. The 24-year-old Luthuli will have to first prove that he fits into the squad.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
