Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has asked for a striker who can score more goals, ever since he started at the club, a requirement requested by other coaches even before the Tunisian arrived.
Nabi's main targets were reportedly Fiston Mayele and Michael Olunga, and now Siya sources close to Chiefs have indicated that, at the moment, the club is not getting either of them. The question is: where to from here in search of a top striker?

An insider with recruitment knowledge close to Amakhosi has indicated that the club has turned its attention to other strikers who they think would help the club achieve good results from next season, including newly announced Flavio Silva, and that despite his signing, the club is still looking at other strikers as well.
"There are a number of strikers that the club have been looking at apart from Mayele and Olunga. One of them is Flavio Silva who the team has already announced and the others are Etiosa Ighodaro and youngster Naledi Hlongwane who has been promoted from the DDC side. So the search for strikers continues even though one has already been signed," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a confidant with intimate knowledge of Chiefs' attacking needs stated that although they have so far only released one striker in Ranga Chivaviro, they want to sign at least two new strikers.
"Apart from Naledi Hlongwane the club was looking at signing two more experienced strikers. Apparently now that they have signed Flavio Silva, they are still looking at signing one more to bolster the team's striking department. They are believed to be working hard on that," the second source revealed.
