The 2018/10 Player of the Season has seemingly moved on from his failed European move and shrugged off his personal issues to fight for his place in Pirates' starting XI this season and has shown glimpses of his mesmerizing talent, that fans have grown accustomed to.
So vital has Lorch been for Pirates, that he shook off a serious injury to help them claim their first piece of silverware in six years as he slotted home the winning penalty in their 2-1 MTN8 final win over Bloemfontein Celtic, in December last year.
With Lorch back to his best and Pirates desperate to hold onto one of their biggest stars, naturally, talk of a new contract for the 27-year-old has started doing the rounds in the football fraternity, with reports stating that 'Nyoso' had penned a new three-year deal with the Buccaneers.

However, as reported in edition 1209 of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew reached out to Mahlakgane to get his views on the widespread rumours, which was hastily dismissed by the renowned agent.
"No such thing. I would have been there myself. I haven't spoken to the club yet regarding any contract for Lorch," Mahlakgane told the crew.
Lorch, who is the third longest-serving player in the current Pirates squad behind Happy Jele and Ntsikelelo Nyauza, has been one of the bright sparks of Pirates' indifferent season and has contributed with four goals and four assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.
