Bruce Bvuma will play in only his second game for Kaizer Chiefs this season when he starts in goal on Sunday, coach Ernst Middendorp confirmed at a press conference.
With Daniel Akpeyi unable to feature in the weekend's Round of 16 Nedbank Cup clash away to The Magic FC, 23-year-old Bvuma will finally get a chance to impress. Akpeyi is cup-tied having already featured in the competition for Chippa United in the previous round.

Bvuma has managed to ascend to second choice after Virgil Vries, according to the coach, "failed to grab his chance" after Itumeleng Khune was ruled out for the remainder of the 2018/19 season with a shoulder injury.
"Our goalkeeper will be Bruce on the weekend, he is taking over," Middendorp told the media.
"I have had a long chat with Bruce before the Soweto Derby and after we signed Daniel Akpeyi – just to make it very clear that he is a very qualified player, with huge potential. But we had to decide if he is really prepared at the moment, to be regularly on the field. We decided we should get him mentally strong enough and get him to learn from Daniel and Itu, when he comes back, and then probably he has the next 10 years in front of him."
