Bidvest Wits Will Get To Try Again Against Black Leopards

Bidvest Wits Will Get To Try Again Against Black Leopards

Leopards v Wits

Black Leopards were 1-0 up against Bidvest Wits when last night's Nedbank Cup game was called off due to inclement weather, so what happens to the fixture now that it has to be replayed?   Read: Amakhosi Move - Stadium Switch Confirmed   Gavin Hunt will get another bite at the cherry after his side were up against it on Wednesday night having gone 1-0 down in Thohoyandou, with the Wits coach now getting the chance to start with a clean slate and even potentially changing his starting XI.   As per the National Soccer League rules, if a match is abandoned due to inclement weather then it will 'be expunged', meaning that the game will start from scratch when it is eventually replayed – possibly on Monday.   The NSL handbook states:

"If a match is postponed or abandoned due to the unsuitability of the ground caused by inclement weather, the state of the pitch or for any other reason, but not because of insufficient illumination from floodlights, the League will set another date on which the match will be played. In such an event all records of an abandoned match will be expunged except that any dismissals that occurred will remain in force."
Both clubs are waiting to hear when the replay of the game will take place.
