Ex-Chiefs Attacker Nets As Championship Leaders Concede Six

Casric Stars 6-1 Orbit College

Log-leaders Orbit College lost their fifth game of the season after a 6-1 defeat to Casric Stars on Saturday afternoon at Giyani Stadium.

Parsley Fielies and Lifa Makua scored two goals for Stars in the first stanza and the Limpopo side ran away with the game in the second stanza courtesy of a brace by Decide Chauke and a goal piece by former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebohang Lesako and Sabelo Nyembe.

Orbit remained top of the table by two points and Casric moved up to eighth with 20 points.

Pretoria Callies 2-1 Baroka

Baroka missed the chance to go top of the table after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Pretoria Callies on Saturday afternoon at TUT Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Siphelele Mthembu broke the deadlock for Callies four minutes into the second stanza and Trevor Mathiane levelled matters for Bakgaga with 16 minutes to go.

However, Mthembu snatched the winner for the Romans eight minutes before time.

Dan Malesela's charges remained in second spot on the table, two points points behind leaders Orbit College and Callies moved out of the relegation zone, up to 14th with 14 points.

Upington City 2-0 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United's woes continued after parting ways with Zipho Dlangalala following their 2-0 win over Upington City on Saturday afternoon Windhoek Draught Park.

Jason Arries broke the deadlock for Upington on 24 minutes and former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Keletso Makgalwa secured the three points with 25 minutes to go.

Bafana Ba Gucci climbed up to sixth on the log with 21 points and the Team of Choice slipped down to ninth with 19 points.

Venda Football Academy 2-0 Marumo Gallants

Marumo Gallants are in danger of being dragged to the relegation zone after a 2-0 defeat to Venda Football Academy in the Limpopo derby on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Tatenda Tavengwa and Kgothatso Mariba were on target for Venda, as they moved two points clear of the relegation zone in 13th spot, equal on points with Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, who find themselves in 12th position.

Milford 1-0 Platinum City Rovers

Milford moved off the bottom of the table after edging Platinum City Rovers 1-0 in a relegation six-pointer on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Thobela Sikhakhane snatched the all important goal for Milford with 15 minutes remaining.

The Stallions jumped above City Rovers, who dropped to the bottom of the log, by two points in 15th place.

Magesi 0-2 University of Pretoria

University of Pretoria are back in the promotion chasing pack with their third successive win after beating Magesi 2-0 on Friday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Tshepang Makara broke the deadlock for AmaTuks on the stroke of half-time and Neo Dikgale doubled their lead just a minute from the interval.

The win took the Tshwane side up to fourth on the table, within two points of leaders Orbit College and Dikwena dropped down to fifth, just a point behind AmaTuks.

NB La Masia 2-0 Black Leopards

NB La Masia ended their five-game winless run after beating Black Leopards 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Daine Klate's charges climbed up to tenth on the log, a place above Lidoda Duvha, with a superior goal difference as the sides are level on 17 points.

JDR Stars 1-2 Hungry Lions

Hungry Lions climbed up to third on the standings after a come-from-behind 2-1 win over JDR Stars on Friday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Stars went ahead midway into the first stanza but Lions equalised on the hour-mark through Muzomuhle Khanyi.

Katlego Cwinyane snatched the winner for the visitors with six minutes remaining.

Ditau Dia Rora reduced the deficit behind table-toppers Orbit College to just points in third spot on the table while the Hammerboys slipped down to seventh, four points off the top.
