After weeks of uncertainty surrounding his future, Peter Shalulile has finally broken his silence following a dramatic U-turn that sees him remain with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Namibian forward had been strongly tipped to leave Chloorkop after five seasons, with speculation rife that his time in the yellow and blue had come to an end.
But now, just days after rewriting history by becoming the PSL’s all-time leading goal scorer with 130 goals, the 31-year-old has moved to set the record straight.
Speaking to the club’s media department, Shalulile admitted that negotiations over his future had hit a stumbling block, but that he personally reached out to Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe to clear the air.
“For now, I won’t lie to you guys. I’m back,” said Shalulile.
“Things didn’t go well. We were discussing and negotiating about paperwork and all that. But I decided to call the chairman and I told him, rather let me come back and enter my experience and fight for my position.”
