Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso was delighted to secure maximum points away to Stellenbosch FC.
Peter Shalulile's first-half penalty was enough to hand the Brazilians three points at the Athlone Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Cardoso claims it was a fantastic result while he also had a message after the criticism in recent weeks
“No, I think that we should’ve scored in the first half more than one goal. Obviously, the expectation was that we took one in the flanks, we could still had that capacity but it was important to win the ball in the flanks in the right way and with the absence of Arthur we could not really find that connection that’s why we brought substitution a little bit higher than usual but to find the connection that’s the problem,” Cardoso told SuperSport after the game.
“Stellenbosch was big factor, was good but we gave ourselves, fantastic result and it was important to pass to the outside to give peace to the team this team, this needs peace, support and all loving Sundowns fans should support the team.
“Look at the table, where we are after five matches after playing Stellenbosch, away Chiefs, we didn’t lose and keep winning."
