Mamelodi Sundowns could be crowned Betway Premiership champions before their clash against Chippa United on Wednesday.
The Tshwane giants need just one more point to secure an unprecedented eighth consecutive title, but they might not even have to wait until then to bag another Premiership trophy.

Second-placed Orlando Pirates take on Golden Arrows, knowing that they need a victory to keep their slim hopes of dethroning Sundowns alive. Pirates, who have three matches in hand, are currently 15 points behind Sundowns and can only finish the campaign on 67 points, the amount of points the Tshwane giants are currently on at the summit.
So, if Pirates get anything less than three points, Sundowns will officially be champions already, long before their clash against the Chilli Boys in East London the next day.
It will be the last match in charge for Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, who has been linked with the big job at Al Ahly. With the FIFA Club World Cup coming, Riveiro is expected to be at the helm of the Egyptian giants, but first has to inspire the Buccaneers to victory against struggling Arrows at Orlando Stadium tonight.
