Kaizer Chiefs have initiated a strategic approach to secure the future of their squad, with contract renewal discussions underway for key players whose current deals are set to expire in June 2026.
Insiders close to the club have indicated that Amakhosi are believed to have opened negotiations with one of their first-team goalkeepers regarding his long-term future at Naturena.

The sources added that Chiefs have begun talks with Bruce Bvuma, with both parties exploring options for a contract extension beyond his current agreement.
"Bruce Bvuma is one of the goalkeepers the club still wants to keep beyond his contract in June 2026. That's why talks between all the involved parties have started. They are believed to be working on tying down as many players as they can, and he is one of them with whom talks have started," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
A second source provided additional details regarding the proposed potential extension terms being offered to the shot-stopper.

"They are offering him a two-year contract. They believe that he could still be contributing a lot to the team for these three years. The one year that is remaining now, then the new two years until June 2028," the second insider told the Siya crew.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper was promoted to Chiefs' senior team in 2016 and spent several seasons as understudy to established keepers like Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi. However, he has established himself more prominently over the past two campaigns, featuring in much more matches.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment regarding the contract negotiations but received no response at the time of publishing.
