Kaizer Chiefs veteran Bernard Parker has been dominating headlines after his recent performances, sparking a debate about the player's future.
Parker has been at Naturena for a decade and has been one of the most respected figures in the team because of his professionalism on and off the field. In the recent years, the player has been the subject of criticism by a faction of the fans.
Parker has since redeemed himself, silencing his critics after a Man of the Match performance against Orlando Pirates.
The 35-year-old's contract comes to and end in June, with no indication of an extension at the club.
Former Chiefs star, Shaun Permall is of the opinion that Amakhosi should close that chapter.
"I think being at Chiefs there's no room for inconsistent performances," Shaun Permall told the Siya crew.
"Parker might be doing well for now, but in the long run we are not sure, especially for his age. (He has been a) brilliant footballer for the longest time, but I think it's time to move on or retire at Chiefs and take up a role closer to the club.
"Then again, you never know in football. Stranger things have happened," he added.
