A FC Twente star has opened up about how Kaizer Chiefs stifled their approach following a 2-1 win over Amakhosi.

The Amakhosi's pre-season tour of the Netherlands may not have been as successful as coach Nasreddine Nabi had hoped, but it provided the perfect platform for the team's new signings to be integrated and gain valuable game time, including the likes of Nkanyiso Shinga, Thabiso Monyane and Ethan Chislett.
Speaking after the game against the Glamour Boys, Twente's Belgian midfielder Arno Verschueren gave credit to the Amakhosi after the game in what he said was 'a difficult game.'
"They defended low, and it was very difficult to break through," Verschueren said.
"We could have perhaps created a few more chances. I played close to Ricky (van Wolfswinkel), and because the spaces were small, I had a little less possession than in recent matches. It was another win tonight, and that's a relief," he concluded.

Nabi's side ended their pre-season tour with one win, one draw, and three defeats, and now attention will shift to the Toyota Cup, where Chiefs will play Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko SC on 26 July.
