The PSL has confirmed the breakdown of the prize money in the Absa Premiership following the conclusion of the 2019/20 season at the weekend.
A total of R39.9-million will be shared by all 16 teams in the top-flight, with champions Mamelodi Sundowns pocketing a chuck of it.
The league announced before the start of the campaign that sponsors Absa, whose long relationship with the PSL has officially ended, would increase the winners' prize to a whopping R15-million, rising by R5-million from the previous years.
Kaizer Chiefs led the table for the majority of the season, but in the end finished in second place after Downs leapfrogged to the top when it mattered the most.
Amakhosi will now only pocked a consolation prize of R7.5-million.
