As mentioned, Ronaldo continued his remarkable goal scoring run for his national team on Wednesday evening, when Portugal and France played out to a 2-2 draw in their final group stage match.
CR7 has now scored 47 goals in 45 matches for Portugal, with his two penalties against the 2018 FIFA World Cup champions bringing him level with Alu Daei as the leading goalscorers in international football with 109 strikes.
Record Breaker
With the knockout phase on the horizon, Ronaldo will be licking his lips at the prospect of becoming international football's highest goalscorer in history, with Portugal set to face Belgium in the round of 16.
That being said, CR7 has been wearing a special Nike Mercurial Superfly 8 boot at the European showpiece, with the sportswear giant yet to launch them.

According to Footy Headlines, the signature range is called 'Spark Positivity', with the Juventus man said to be encouraging a positive mindset through the cleats.
The boots sports Chile Red, black and total crimson trimmings, with the zig zag patterns being a distinctive and easy-to-spot feature.
