The story
Former SuperSport United star, Shandre Campbell, is the owner of a brand new Volkswagen Golf GTI!
The 19-year-old winger, who has enjoyed some impressive displays in Belgium for Club Brugge, took to Instagram to share a clip of him being handed the key to his new whip.
Campbell will be riding in style this off-season in his Volkswagen Golf 8 GTI, which is going for R819,900 on Cars.co.za, while VW's SA website values the latest model at R857,100.
After a successful debut campaign with Club Brugge and its reserve side, Club NXT, Shandre will be buzzing with this gift to himself.
His first season success in Brugge includes winning the Belgian Cup and making the bench in Club Brugge's clash against Aston Villa in the Last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
The winger was voted the 2025 U20 COSAFA Cup Player of the Tournament. However, he missed out on playing at the AFCON tournament in Egypt after his club opted against releasing him.
His youth international days might be behind, though, after being included in Hugo Broos' preliminary squad for the recent friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique.
Take a look at Campbell with his new VW beauty:
The youngster has been in holiday mode after concluding the 2024/25 season, his first away from home.
From dying his hair blonde to posting 'fit pics on Instagram, Campbell is crafting the perfect off-season social media content for his followers to enjoy.
