The story
As Father’s Day approaches this Sunday, 15 June, Grant Kekana partnered with ALDO South Africa to chat about being a present dad to his son, Tsitsi.
The experienced centre back has been on a roll when it comes to fashion campaigns of late, working with brands like Levis and the Pretoria-based Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.
Kekana, a proud dad of an eight-year-old boy, shared a poignant quote on the type of legacy he wants to leave as a father.
"To be in your child's memories, you have to be in their lives today," said the 32-year-old in speaking to presenter Themba Bizness.
"I think my legacy must be my presence in his life. I'm there to navigate and show him the ropes; he needs to see that anything is possible. His dad is playing in the best league in Africa, playing for the best team, playing for the national team, you know, living out his dream.
"So, it's for him to see that if you remain grounded and work hard, and believe in the process, you can achieve whatever it is you want in life," added Kekana, who was dripping in ALDO kicks, a side bag and sleek black shades.
