Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to find common ground with Khuliso Mudau in ongoing contract talks, Siya sources have revealed, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the future of one of their most consistent performers.

Mudau, who joined the Brazilians from Black Leopards in 2020, has grown into a key figure for the Tshwane giants over the past few seasons. Now 29, the right back has been central to Sundowns’ domestic dominance and has become a regular for Bafana Bafana, with his performances attracting admiration both locally and abroad.
The Siya crew understands that while both parties are keen to continue the relationship, negotiations over a new deal have hit a snag. Mudau’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June, and while talks have been ongoing for weeks, insiders have informed the Siya crew that "they are not finding each other just yet" when it comes to finalising the details.
It is believed that the club has tabled an improved package in line with recent extensions awarded to the likes of Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena. However, the finer points of the deal remain unresolved.

There have been whispers of interest from Tunisian giants Esperance, but for now, Mudau’s focus is on reaching an agreement with Sundowns. The club is eager to avoid losing one of their top performers and negotiations are expected to continue in the coming days.
