The story
In light of PUMA's Club World Cup collection with KidSuper, we take a closer look at the man behind the extraordinary designs, Colm Dillane.
On Tuesday, the PUMA x KIDSUPER collection was launched, and it's a unique blend of football, fashion, and art.
This collaboration presents a fresh artistic perspective on the Beautiful Game, featuring innovative kits and lifestyle apparel for PUMA-affiliated Club World Cup teams, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Al-Hilal, FC Salzburg, Palmeiras, and Monterrey.
Special edition PUMA x KidSuper FUTURE, ULTRA and KING football boots are included!
"I've always wanted to merge the worlds of art and football, and with PUMA, we're doing just that. This collection is about more than just the game," noted Dillane, who is passionate about meshing his love for football with his creative talent.
"It's about expressing yourself, taking risks, and standing out. Whether on the pitch or off, football is an art form, and this collection shows that," he added, as quoted by PUMA in a press release.
Dillane, who is quite the talented footballer himself, has been collaborating with PUMA for football-related collections since 2020, and along the way, he's elevated the KidSuper Studios brand to being one of the world's leading, high-end streetwear brands.
Of late, he’s partnered with Mercedes-Benz, PlayStation, Bathing Ape, and Captain Morgan, among others. KidSuper Studios' garments have been seen on football legends like Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario, as well as musicians, J Balvin, Playboi Carti and Megan The Stallion.
On the runway, Dillane's KidSuper regularly presents collections at esteemed fashion weeks in Paris and New York, with one of his career highlights coming in 2023 when he worked on a Louis Vuitton collection.
