What's the story?
Neymar Jr has had a stuttering World Cup campaign so far, after suffering a minor ankle injury against Serbia, but off the field, he's got a doppelganger impersonating him.
Dubbed as "Fake Neymar," he's gone viral on social media for fooling fans in Qatar into believing that he's the actual Brazilian superstar.

Let's take a closer look at this bizarre gimmick...
Fake Neymar
The menace that is Fake Neymar has been doing damage in Qatar by impersonating the Brazilian baller.
He's been stopped for selfies, autographs and captured by fans as he successfully claims to be Neymar. The impersonation not only works for how he dresses, but he genuinely resembles the mercurial 30-year-old.
It's relatively difficult to spot the difference between fake Neymar and the real deal.
The Impersonator wears Brazil's Nike training gear, has a similar beard, wears similar accessories and he's gone as far as making his tattos similar to the Brazilian star.
His entourage work as fake security guards for him, with another friend pretending to be a Brazil FA official, tasked taking him places and walking alongside him during public appearances.

He once finessed his way past stadium security, dressed in Brazil's off-pitch casualwear, and sported accessories that you'd normally see on the real Neymar:

As per CBS Sports, the impersonator refers to himself as "Ney Lookalike" and his real name is Eigon Oliveira.
He has amassed over a million followers on Instagram and has been doing this Neymar double act since 2018.
With Neymar changing his hair to a bleach blonde cut, Oliveira went as far getting the exact same trim. The longer Brazil are in this tournament, the more we'll see Ney Lookalike's shenanigans.
