The story
After Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly confirmed the appointment of former Orlando Pirates boss Jose Riveiro as their new head coach, the Happy People wasted no time in weighing in on El Padre’s latest gig.
The Spanish manager, who recently departed the Soweto giants, takes charge of the "Club of the Century" ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign in June.
Riveiro's move to Cairo had been expected following his early exit from Pirates this month, which was granted to facilitate his transition to a new club.
When Al Ahly broke the news of Riveiro joining the club, it sparked a wave of responses from SA football fans, with the Bucs fans leading the way in wishing the Bucs coach all the best for his endeavours in Egypt.
