The story
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso is beginning to feel the pressure from the club's supporters, as discontent grows following recent results against the Soweto giants.
A section of the Masandawana faithful voiced their frustration after the team's goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday night, chanting for the Portuguese tactician to be relieved of his duties.
The draw sees Sundowns in third place on the league table, with eight points from their opening four matches — a start that has not quite lived up to the high expectations typically associated with the Betway Premiership holders.
The fans' dissatisfaction, whether it's online or at stadiums, was likely further fuelled by the team's narrow exit from the MTN8 over the weekend, where they were eliminated by Orlando Pirates.
The two-legged clash ended 2-2 on aggregate, with Sundowns ultimately falling short in the penalty shootout at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
