Elias Mokwana has now followed in the footsteps of Mohau Nkota by officially signing for a club in the oil-rich kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Bafana Bafana attacker has completed a transfer to newly promoted Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hazem.
The 25-year-old becomes the latest South African international to move to the Middle East after Nkota traded Orlando Pirates for Al Ettifaq earlier in the transfer window.
Mokwana had been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks, with Russian Premier League clubs FC Pari Nizhniy Novgorod and Dinamo Makhachkala understood to be interested. However, after a stellar debut season in Tunisia with record league champions Esperance de Tunis, Tunisian coach Jalel Kadri convinced the former Sekhukhune United man to join his side.

During his lone campaign with the Blood and Gold, Mokwana helped the Tunisian giants secure a domestic treble, contributing six goals and four assists in all competitions. He will now be hoping to carry that form into the Saudi topflight ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
