The story
Sea Robbers legend Lucky "Phinda Mzala" Lekgwathi marked his 49th birthday in style at the start of August, taking his boat out for a celebratory ride.
The former Buccaneers captain, known for his exemplary leadership on and off the pitch, chose to celebrate his special day with a touch of luxury, enjoying the open water as he reflected on his journey and accomplishments.
Lekgwathi took to Instagram to share pictures of himself posing on his boat, towing it on his Jeep Wrangler and docking it onto a lake.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Legends are born on August 1. This is the day that the Lord has made for me to rejoice in it," wrote Lekgwathi in the caption of one of his two IG posts.
Lekgwathi used what appears to be an older model of the Carrera 225 boat, which is valued at over the R1 million mark for newer versions.
