The story
As the countdown to South Africa's opening match of the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) this Friday continues, we look at the amazing welcome Molefi Ntseki's troops received on arrival.
Ntseki's SA side, which had its first training session in Uganda on Monday, arrived in the capital city of Kampala on Sunday afternoon to a lively performance from traditional dancers at the Entebbe International Airport.
Mzansi's Group C rivals are co-hosts Uganda, Guinea, Niger and Algeria and will lock horns with the North Africans on Friday afternoon, 16:00 kick off.
The CHAN tournament is taking place in East Africa from 2 to 30 August 2025, with Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda serving as co-hosts. Ntseki's squad will be based in Kampala for the group stage matches.
