The story
Young centre-back Lebone Seema was warmly embraced by his loved ones after scoring the decisive goal in the Buccaneers' narrow victory over Orbit College.
In a widely circulated video on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter/X, Seema is seen making his way to the grandstands to greet a group believed to be his childhood best friends, moments after the final whistle.
Seema's stunning strike came in the 56th minute and proved to be the difference-maker in the tightly contested match. His powerful effort secured a 1-0 win for Pirates, lifting the team to seventh place in the Betway Premiership standings.
The emotional scenes highlighted a memorable moment for the young former TS Galaxy centre-back, who bagged his first goal for the club in what was his fifth appearance under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Despite raising eyebrows in what was a tough outing for the 22-year-old in a 1-0 loss to Marumo Gallants, the baller has grown into his role in the heart of Pirates' defence alongside Mbekezeli Mbokazi, in the absence of injured club captain, Nkosinathi Sibisi.
