The story
Social media is abuzz following Chiefs announcing their first two signings for the 2025/26 season.
Amakhosi announced the signings of left-back Nkanyiso Shinga and Portuguese striker Flavio Silva, in moves that will bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign and their upcoming pre-season tour to the Netherlands.
Shinga, a versatile, 25-year-old left-back, adds much-needed depth and flexibility to the Amakhosi's squad will be wearing the number 74 jersey at Naturena, having joined from Alverca in Portugal’s capital of Lisbon.
Meanwhile, Silva joins the Glamour Boys from Persebaya Surabaya in Indonesia on a free transfer after the 29-year-old scored nine goals with two assists in 33 games for his ex-club.
The Guinea-Bissau-born striker will don the number 77 jersey at Chiefs. Two seasons ago, Silva netted 23 goals for Persik, also in Indonesia, finishing runner-up for the Golden Boot award.
