Breaking! Chiefs Unveil Two New Signings

ALVERCA, PORTUGAL - APRIL 6: Nkanyiso Shinga of FC Alverca in action during the Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super match between FC Alverca and SL Benfica B at Estadio FC Alverca on April 6

Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the signing of 25-year-old Nkanyiso Shinga in a move that will bolster their squad ahead of the new Betway Premiership campaign, as first reported by the Siya crew.

The versatile left-back, who can also operate effectively in midfield and further up in attack, adds much-needed depth and flexibility to the Amakhosi roster.

Shinga has been handed the number 74 jersey at Naturena as he begins the next chapter of his career.

He had joined Alverca in Portugal’s Lisbon district at the start of the 2024/25 season and attracted significant attention thanks to his performances.

While there were indications of interest from other Portuguese clubs, it was ultimately Kaizer Chiefs who won the race for his signature.

Shinga had a year remaining on his contract with Alverca, which he joined after his stint with Estrela da Amadora, but Amakhosi have now secured his services as they aim to reinforce their squad for the upcoming season.

Soon after announcing Shinga, Amakhosi confirmed the signing of Portuguese striker Flavio Silva from Persebaya Surabaya, a club in Indonesia.

Chiefs have revealed that the Guinea-born player will wear the number 77 jersey.
