The story
30-year-old versatile midfielder Lebohang Maboe recently joined forces with ALDO Shoes South Africa for a Father's Day campaign.
Maboe, who was influential in helping SuperSport United retain its top-flight status after joining them on a half-season loan in January, sported some of ALDO's finest eyewear pieces.
Whenever Maboe links up with ALDO's eyewear line, it's always a fashion moment to savour, but this time, the attention was turned away from style.
When asked about the importance of being a present father by presenter Themba Bizness, Maboe opened up about how seriously he takes the role.
"It's very important to be in my daughter's life. [As a father], you are blessed to have a child and the fact that you've got people looking up to you, like your daughter and your family, you're not just doing it for yourself, there are people behind you, supporting you," shared Maboe.
"Ever since I had my daughter, I now feel like I'm spending my time at the right places, I feel like I've become more family-oriented than I was before," he added.
