Kaizer Chiefs got to winning ways in the  DStv Diski Challenge after hammering Marumo Gallants 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The sides entered the half-time break level pegging after Sibusiso Milazi cancelled out an early opener by Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.

Mdzuduzi  Shabalala gave Amakhosi the lead in the 65th minute, Donay Jansen made it 3-1 and Shabalala rounded off the thrashing in the last seven minutes and completed his brace.

Orlando Pirates surrendered their top position on the standings after a 2-1 defeat to SuperSport United on Saturday afternoon at Rand Stadium.

United had a perfect start after Bryn Deely sent them ahead in just the second minute of the game with a curling free-kick from a tight angle that into the far post.

The Buccaneers levelled matters in the 23rd minute thanks to a looping header by Cassius Spandiel from a corner. However, Tendamudzimu Matodzi restored the lead for Matsatsantsa on the stroke of half-time with a blasting strike in the box.

Matodzi came close to making it 3-1 for United early in the second stanza but was denied by the upright and Thabiso Monyane rattled the woodwork twice after that for Pirates, as Matsatsantsa held on to the narrow win.

After a goalless first stanza, Samkelo Mzolo eventually broke the deadlock for Arrows four minutes before the hour-mark but Bosega salvaged the share of the spoils with the equaliser for Bakgaga 16 minutes before time.
